GEOGACETA es una revista que publica artículos cortos de cuatro páginas, originales e inéditos de trabajos de investigación sobre cualquier campo de las Ciencias de la Tierra, y particularmente de la Geología. Los artículos publicados en GEOGACETA se caracterizan por mostrar los últimos avances científicos en materias relacionadas con las Ciencias de la Tierra, presentando datos originales correspondientes a observaciones de campo, datos elaborados en gabinete, datos experimentales (obtenidos en laboratorio y/o campo), modelización analógica y matemática, y todo ello a distintas escalas de observación.Los artículos que se publican en GEOGACETA, además de ser evaluados mediante una “revisión por pares”, han sido presentados en una de las dos Sesiones Científica que organiza la Sociedad Geológica de España cada año para promover, fomentar y difundir la investigación en las materias relacionadas con las Ciencias de la Tierra. Por esto, la revista está especialmente pensada para los investigadores que abordan temas relacionados con las Ciencias de la Tierra, que sean socios o que puedan colaborar con los socios de la Sociedad Geológica de España, y que traten temas científicos en las materias de la revista que sean de interés general para los investigadores y profesionales, o posibles lectores interesados en la Geología o en las Ciencias de la Tierra.
