Fokus časopisa je fizička kultura kao multidisciplinarno (nauke o zdravlju, društveno-humanističke nauke i nauke o obrazovanju) i interdisciplinarno (grane sportskih i nauka o vežbanju) polje znanja i naučnog istraživanja u prostoru fizičke aktivnosti. Časopis Fizička kultura objavljuje rezultate fundamentalnih i primenjenih naučnih istraživanja i nastoji da širi teorijska i empirijska saznanja iz oblasti obrazovanja, sportskog treninga, učenja i obučavanja, upravljanja, organizovanja... Časopis objavljuje visokokvalitetne članke od zajedničkog interesa i međunarodne važnosti u prostoru, kao što su: žena i sport, dečiji i sport mladih, paraolimpijski sport, fizička aktinost osoba sa invaliditetom, vrednosti savremenog sporta, olimpijski pokret, razvoj obrazovnog iskustva kroz fizičko vaspitanje, sport i redovne dnevne fizičke aktivnosti, starenje, itd. Posebna pažnja posvećena je rezultatima naučnih istraživanja i najboljoj praksi u razvoju zajednice kroz sve oblike fizičkih aktivnosti. Časopis Fizička kultura objavljuje se u štampanom i elektronskom obliku i otvoren je za autore iz celog sveta, uključujući mlade istraživače u doktorskim i postdoktorskim studijskim programima i projektima. Svi članci objavljeni su na srpskom i engleskom jeziku, sa naslovima, sažecima i ključnim rečima na španskom. Časopis se publikuje na dva pisma (latinici i ćirilici).
