Finlay, es el órgano científico de divulgación oficial del Centro de Estudio para las Enfermedades no Transmisibles de la Universidad de las Ciencias Médicas de Cienfuegos. Adopta la publicación continua como metodología de publicación. Finlay tiene un amplio perfil de publicación en este campo. Considera aquellos trabajos que estén relacionados con las Enfermedades no Transmisibles en: Salud Pública, Administración Sanitaria, Ciencias Básicas, Ciencias Clínicas, Enfermería, Pediatría entre otras áreas que estén vinculadas con la salud y los Servicios de Salud. Estando dirigida específicamente a los profesionales del campo de la salud que tienen dentro de su objeto social la atención a pacientes con enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles. Así como a los decisores locales del ámbito de la salud y de gobierno que tienen como objetivo dirigir intervenciones en salud y calidad de vida. Cada volumen se edita en versión electrónica en la página web de Finlay (http://www.revfinlay.sld.cu). Las personas subscritas a la misma recibirán, a través del correo electrónico, un boletín con información sobre los trabajos publicados en cada volumen.El objetivo de la revista es divulgar los resultados científicos de los profesionales vinculados a la salud y la formación de los recursos humanos para la salud, en cualquier parte del mundo. Con prioridad en el territorio de la provincia de Cienfuegos, Cuba.En Finlay los autores pueden publicar cartas al director, editoriales, artículos originales, presentaciones de casos, folletos, manuales, teorías científicas, comunicaciones breves y cuanta información resulte pertinente e importante para el desarrollo de la actividad científica. Los manuscritos aceptados, quedan en propiedad de la revista y, por tanto, su publicación parcial o total en otra revista científica tiene que ser autorizada por el director de la revista. No obstante, como Finlay se acoge a la política de acceso abierto a la publicación científica, permite su copia y distribución siempre que mantenga el reconocimiento de sus autores, no haga uso comercial de las obras y no realice ninguna modificación de ellas.
