La revista FIGEMPA: Investigación y Desarrollo es editada en la Universidad Central del Ecuador en Quito (Ecuador) por la Facultad de Ingeniería en Geología, Minas, Petróleos y Ambiental (FIGEMPA); está destinada a la difusión de resultados de investigaciones y estudios técnicos realizados por profesores, profesionales y estudiantes de grado y posgrado de la Universidad y expertos nacionales e internacionales en áreas vinculadas a Ciencias de la Ingeniería, Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, Energía, Geología, Ingeniería Minera, Ingeniería Petrolera, Ingeniería Ambiental, Tecnología, Ciencias de la Tierra, Investigación, Seguridad y el Aprovechamiento Sustentable y Sostenible de los Recursos Naturales No Renovables.
