Dwa intrygujące łacińskie słowa fabrica oraz officina pozostają zbyt często w miłosnym, gramatycznym związku z terminem bliskim każdemu filologowi, z leksemem o dobrze znanej postaci – litteraria. Wiedzą o tym dobrze badacze europejskiego renesansu, może ostatniej epoki wierzącej w praktyczny walor sztuki. Wspomniana frazeologiczna relacja godzi dwa (zdawałoby się trudne do pojednania) kulturowe żywioły: potęgę praktycznego wytwarzania i moc bezinteresownej kreacji. Język staje się tu narzędziem porozumienia – łączy udzielne światy, spaja dumne królestwa, które zwykle na siebie nie patrzą. Co więcej: pozostają trwale odseparowane i odwrócone do siebie plecami. W swej strukturze formalnej czasopismo zawiera działy obligatoryjne, cykliczne i konieczne oraz te, które będą pojawiać się nieregularnie. Do pierwszej grupy należą moduły: Artykuły i rozprawy oraz Varia. Do drugiej: Przekłady, Prezentacje, Kronika oraz Dyskusje, omówienia, glosy. Każdy kolejny numer pisma – w swym dziale Artykuły i rozprawy – prezentuje wyraźnie (monograficznie) zdefiniowany problem badawczy. Wersją pierwotną (referencyjną) czasopisma jest jego wersja internetowa.
