The European Journal of Pediatrics (EJPE) is a leading peer-reviewed medical journal which covers the entire field of pediatrics. The editors encourage authors to submit original articles, reviews, mini-reviews, brief reports and guidelines on all relevant themes and topics. EJPE is particularly committed to the publication of articles on important new clinical research that will have an immediate impact on clinical pediatric practice. The editorial office very much welcomes ideas for publications, whether individual articles or article series, that fit this goal and is always willing to address inquiries from authors regarding potential submissions. Invited review articles on clinical pediatrics that provide comprehensive coverage of a subject of importance are also regularly commissioned. The short publication time reflects both the commitment of the editors and publishers and their passion for new developments in the field of pediatrics. EJPE publishes across all relevant fields of research, including but not restricted to: cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and hepatology, growth and development, hematology and oncology, imaging techniques, immunology and allergology, infectious diseases, intensive care medicine, medical genetics and metabolic diseases, neonatology, nephrology and urology, neuropediatrics, nutrition, otorhinolaryngology, pediatric surgery, pharmacology, preventive pediatrics and epidemiology, psychology and psychiatry, and adolescent medicine, pulmonology. This journal also publishes special/guest-edited issues and collections. The peer review process for these articles is the same as the peer review process of the journal in general. Additionally, if the guest editor(s) authors an article in their special issue, they will not handle the peer review process. Readers who have substantial comments or feedback regarding a specific publication are welcome to contact the corresponding author or the Editor-in-Chief directly at EJP@spaarnegasthuis.nl After reviewing the comments, the Editorial Board will determine whether further communication or action is necessary.
