Foco e Escopo APRESENTAÇÃO LINHA EDITORIAL A EJJL publica artigos que investigam e discutem temas, conceitos, teorias e problemas no âmbito dos direitos humanos e direitos fundamentais. ESCOPO A EJJL tem como escopo ser um veículo de divulgação de pesquisas científicas, análise crítica de jurisprudência e de projetos de alteração constitucional e legal, desde que originais, inéditas e com potencial para gerar contribuição inovadora em temas de direitos humanos e direitos fundamentais. FOCO A EJJL tem como foco os temas e problemas de fundamentação ou justificação de direitos humanos e de interpretação, eficácia e efetividade dos direitos fundamentais civis e sociais. Também podem ser objeto de submissões direitos de nacionalidade e direitos políticos em temas e problemas conexos a direitos fundamentais civis ou sociais. PESQUISA EMPÍRICA E PESQUISA TEÓRICA A EJJL tem especial interesse por trabalhos que adotam pesquisa empírica com tratamento de dados originais para abordar problemas de efetivação de direitos fundamentais. Tem muito interesse, também por trabalhos de pesquisa teórico-conceitual, jurídico-formal, fundados em consistente metodologia dogmático-jurídica de análise e de crítica da existência de direitos, da estrutura formal de direitos, da eficácia de direitos, e, sobretudo, dos meios jurídicos concretizá-los. Terão alta prioridade para publicação os artigos que ofereçam relevantes contribuições para aprimorar o entendimento relativo ao dever de respeito, de proteção jurídica, de não retrocesso e de, num sentido amplo, efetivação progressiva desses direitos. VALORES Autonomia: A Comissão Editorial da EJJL enfatiza sua autonomia para decidir sobre a aprovação ou reprovação de um artigo com base em critérios científicos e em sua experiência editorial acumulada. Integridade: ética científica e editorial. Os textos devem ser escritos com clareza e responsabilidade científica. Pluralidade: para promover uma fértil cooperação entre as ciências e suas metodologias, bem como em relação à pesquisa nacional e estrangeira. Por causa da atenção com a efetividade dos direitos, a EJJL incentiva a submissão de trabalhos que adotam metodologias de análise e de crítica filosófica, bem como trabalhos que adotam metodologias empiricas e que ofereçam análise e crítica de políticas públicas específicas, bem como de práticas sociais (de empresas, de movimentos sociais, de organizações não governamentais, de indivíduos) relativas aos direitos fundamentais civis e soc
