A revista tem por finalidade fomentar e difundir, nacional e internacionalmente, a investigação científica operada no domínio da Teologia, Estudos de Religião e áreas afins, privilegiando os seguintes aspetos: - abertura à perceção interdisciplinar, situando a Teologia no quadro sistémico e dialógico dos saberes; - atenção aos processos contextuais e orgânicos da Cultura, nomeadamente aquela portuguesa e ibero-americana, onde mais ativamente se inscreve; - inclusão dos seus conteúdos na área interdisciplinar dos “Estudos de Religião”, procurando firmar em redes desse âmbito a sua produção científica e circulação; - acompanhamento da produção científica que se efetua em outros países, assinalando a vocação internacional da revista.
