E|C is the journal of the Italian Association for Semiotic Studies. Established in 2005 and directed by Gianfranco Marrone, E|C publishes papers about various fields of structuralist Semiotics produced by international research groups. The mission of E|C is to contribute to the advancement and dissemination of Semiotics as a theory of signification as well as a critique of the languages of contemporaneity. E|C is four-monthly publication. Each number is monographic and presents the results of semiotic analyses of socio-cultural phenomena such as media, use and practices of space, design, gastronomy, tourism, photography, music, or it discusses theoretical/methodological themes such as narrativity, subjectivity, passionality, aesthetics. E|C uses double blind peer review system for all articles it publishes. E|C is ranked as a class A journal by ANVUR (the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes).
