Discursividades is a biannual electronic journal associated to the Department of Letters and Arts at UEPB. The journal is intended for the dissemination and discussion of works and research in the field of language and its articulation with historical and social practices. Considering the constitutive role of language in society, Discursividades will give rise, above all, to research whose investigated themes are permeated by the studies of Discourse, Languages/Languages and their teaching. Thus, the journal houses productions dedicated to understanding the functioning of language in the various symbolic objects in society. Its objective is the dissemination of unpublished works, of a theoretical or applied nature, in the aforementioned lines. It publishes contributions from collaborators from Brazil and abroad that are written in Portuguese, Spanish, English or French. At least one of the authors of the work must have the title of Doctor or Master. The journal Discursividades receives submission of articles in a continuous flow system. No fees are charged to authors for the submission or publication of works. Peer Review Process The journal Discursividades has an Editorial Board of notorious knowledge in the areas covered in its focus and editorial scope. The originals received will be selected and evaluated as to form, and, as to merit, by two reviewers of the Editorial Board or ad hoc consultants, within their specialties. The originals that do not fit the editorial line and the section policy, as well as the original presentation rules, will be immediately rejected by the section editor. In the merit evaluation process (blind evaluation), the works may be accepted in full, without restrictions; accepted in full, with some restrictions; and rejected. In the case of a favorable opinion and another not – and that are clearly in disagreement –, the work will be sent to a third referee. If there are favorable opinions, but that point out serious problems in the article, the editors of the journal reserve the right to reject it without consulting other reviewers. When there is a need for changes regarding grammatical, orthographic, textualization and standard norm aspects, with a view to maintaining the quality of the publication, the Editorial Committee will give itself the right to make the necessary changes, respecting the author's style. In other cases, the author will reformulate the text as requested by the Editorial Board. Discursividades is not respo
