Depression and Anxiety is a fully open access journal committed to publishing novel, high-impact research that truly resonates with and benefits a global audience. We seek to be more than a journal; we aim to be a platform for dialogue and engagement across borders and disciplines. Our vision embraces a broad, interdisciplinary approach that acknowledges the multifaceted nature of mental health. We prioritize work that examines the critical intersection of mental well-being with overarching social, political, and environmental forces. The journal scope includes foundational disciplines like neurobiology, epidemiology, experimental psychopathology, and treatment innovations, while actively seeking contributions that apply these fields to pressing global issues. We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: the impact of environmental degradation and political conflict on mental health; innovative treatments and new drug development; the well-being of adolescents and young adults; and the links between nutrition and mental health. A central focus is dedicated to understanding and improving mental health outcomes in marginalized populations, including ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, prisoners, people with disabilities, and those affected by addiction or extreme poverty. We invite academics, clinicians, policymakers, and the public with lived experience to join our collaborative community. Through shared insights, innovative research, and open exchange, we believe Depression and Anxiety can be a catalyst for evidence-based, global change in how we understand and care for mental health.
