Debater a Europa é um periódico semestral fundado em 2009 no mbito de uma parceria entre Redes de Informação Europeia em Portugal. A revista é propriedade de AEVA - CIEDA, em cooperação com o Gabinete em Portugal do Parlamento Europeu e a Representação da Comissão Europeia em Portugal. São fundadores Isabel Maria Freitas Valente (Team-Europe da Comissão Europeia), Jorge Almeida Castro (CIEDA), Ana Ribeiro (CIEDA), Cláudia Matos (CIEDA), Clotilde Cmara Pestana (CIEJD) e Filomena António (CIEJD). A Revista teve, até à data três séries editoriais. A primeira, entre 2009 e 2011, sem parcerias académicas. Desde 2011, para melhor prosseguir a sua missão de apoio à inovação e divulgação científica em matéria de Estudos Europeus, iniciou as parcerias académicas, e com elas a segunda série editorial, entre 2011 e 2021, em parceria com o Centro de Estudos Interdisciplinares do Século XX da Universidade de Coimbra (CEIS20-UC). Na sequência da reorganização dos Centros Europe Direct em Portugal, em maio de 2021, a Associação para a Educação e Valorização da Região de Aveiro (AEVA), proprietária do título Debater a Europa inicia nesse mesmo ano uma terceira série editorial, com a Associação de Estudos Europeus da Universidade de Coimbra (AEEC-UC). Desde a segunda edição que a revista Debater a Europa passou a ser editada pela Imprensa da Universidade de Coimbra exclusivamente em formato online. A Revista tem como finalidade principal analisar, questionar, problematizar e debater temáticas candentes da nossa realidade de hoje, na Europa. Visa, ainda, a criação de um de diálogo imprescindível à maturação da consciência europeia.A Revista está aberta a colaborações na forma de artigos, recensões críticas, entrevistas, documentos inéditos e publicação de actas de encontros científicos organizados pelos proprietários da Revista.O número temático pode eventualmente conter uma Vária.Revista electrónica com arbitragem científica.
