Contributions to Political Economy – New Editorial Arrangements The founding (and longstanding) editors of Contributions to Political Economy – Murray Milgate, John Eatwell and Giancarlo de Vivo – step down from the Journal in 2022 following the publication of Volume 41. The full operational, managerial and editorial responsibility for Contributions to Political Economy passes to the Editorial Board of the Cambridge Journal of Economics with effect from Volume 42, July 2023. The aims and scope of Contributions to Political Economy from Volume 42 onwards are set out below. The majority of articles are extended reviews or critical surveys on theoretical, historical or applied topics. It also publishes shorter reviews of noteworthy books recently published. Descriptions of article types considered by the journal are included below: Critical Surveys The aim of the critical survey series is to provide insightful reviews of a range of contributions to important broad subfields of economics, indicating the nature of the fields, their importance and any ongoing significant developments within them, adopting where relevant a critical orientation. It is intended that critical survey articles will be accessible not only to other academic researchers but also to students and others more practically involved in the economy. Review Articles The aim of the review article series is for a certain theme or themes from a recently published significant book, or series of books, to be considered at length. Review articles are not short book reviews; rather they are full scale articles that take the chosen book, or series of books, as a point of departure and aim to add significantly to some aspect of the debates with which they engage. Retrospective Articles The aim of the retrospective article series is to critically evaluate the contemporary relevance of an earlier significant or noteworthy publication. The publication of such articles will be scheduled so as to coincide with obvious anniversaries of the relevant publications’ original appearance. Book Reviews The aim of the book review series is to provide short (800 – 2000 word) reviews of noteworthy books in the
