Contexto es una publicación anual de estudios literarios y culturales, adscrita a la Maestría en Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe de la Universidad de Los Andes, Núcleo Universitario del Táchira, Venezuela. Difunde trabajos originales de investigación, ensayos, entrevistas, reseñas y documentos relacionados con las ciencias humanas y las artes. El idioma principal es el español, pero podrá publicar también en inglés, portugués, francés, holandés, creole, papiamento o en cualquier lengua, como las amerindias, que refleje la diversidad cultural de Latinoamérica y el Caribe. El contenido de cada número de la revista se estructura para incluir una variedad de temas en sus artículos, pero también números monográficos por medio de dossier, que sirvan de utilidad a sus lectores y a los investigadores, docentes y estudiantes (de pregrado y posgrado) de la literatura, los profesionales y todas las personas interesadas en las ciencias humanas. La revista recibe, durante todo el año, trabajos inéditos y originales, que no hayan sido remitidos a otras revistas simultáneamente, donde se traten temas relativos a la literatura o los estudios culturales. Dichas contribuciones son admitidas previamente por el Consejo Editorial y luego revisadas por dos árbitros, con el sistema de doble ciego. Las opiniones expresadas en esta revista son propias de los autores y, en consecuencia, ni el Editor, ni el Consejo Editorial, ni la Maestría en Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe, se hacen responsables de ellas.
