Founded in 1981, Computational and Applied Mathematics (COAM) is the main scientific journal of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics (SBMAC) . Since its creation, the journal has served as a forum for high-quality research at the interface between mathematics, computation, science, engineering and technology, reflecting the development and consolidation of computational and applied mathematics in Brazil and abroad. The journal publishes original research contributions with emphasis on works that combine mathematical depth, methodological rigor, computational relevance, and meaningful applications. Contributions may address the development of new analytical and numerical methods, computational techniques, models, algorithms, or applications motivated by concrete problems arising in the natural sciences, engineering, industry, economics, finance, data science, and the social and life sciences. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following major areas: applied mathematical analysis; control theory and partial differential equations; graphs and discrete mathematics; mathematical modelling; numerical linear algebra; optimization and operations research; probability and stochastic methods; and numerical analysis. Within these areas, the journal welcomes contributions involving theoretical developments, rigorous analysis, computational methods, algorithmic advances, simulation, data-informed modelling, and applications to relevant scientific, technological, industrial, economic, environmental, and societal problems. The journal seeks papers that offer clear advances in originality, depth, relevance, and methodological soundness. Submissions should present a well-defined contribution, supported by rigorous mathematical analysis, reliable computational evidence, or convincing modelling and validation when appropriate. Papers applying existing methods are expected to demonstrate significant novelty, either through new theoretical insight, improved computational performance, or a substantive contribution to the understanding of a relevant applied problem. Manuscripts are expected to go beyond routine applications, purely formal extensions, or incremental numerical experiments. When the main contribution is application-oriented, the manuscript should provide a well-motivated problem, appropriate validation, and convincing empirical, computational, or theoretical evidence. Submissions that merely apply standard techni
