هدف این ژورنال ، انتشار مقالات و تحقیقات معتبر، مرتبط و دقیق با اهداف اصلی یعنی، ارتقاء سلامت افراد جامعه است. این مجله معتقد است که تامین و حفظ و ارتقا سلامت باید براساس قضاوت بالینی و شواهد موجود در مورد آنچه ایمن و موثر است، به صورت مناسب و با ادغام درمان های مرسوم و مکمل انجام شود. این مجله به مطالعه روش های طب مکمل و جایگزین به ویزه در طب آسیائی و طب ایرانی و تاثیر آنها روی سلامتی تاکید دارد و همچنین با تاکید روی عملکرد مکانیسم های بیولوژیک آنها می باشد. لذا مقالاتی که در زمینه مطالعات پایه و مطالعات بالینی در طب های آسیائی ، طب سنتی ایرانی و درمان های مکمل داروئی و گیاهی باشد مورد توجه این مجله است. این مجله مقالات به صورت Orginal article ( مقالات اصیل )، گزارش موردی ، نامه به سردبیر ، گزارش کوتاه ، سیستماتیک رویو و تحقیقات کیفی در زمینه طب مکمل را در هدف مجله قرار داده است.
