La Revista "Compendio de Ciencias Veterinarias" es una publicación de carácter semestral, editada por la Dirección de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica de la Facultad de Ciencias Veterinarias de la Universidad Nacional de Asunción, Paraguay. Publicada en formato impreso (desde 2011 hasta 2017) y electrónico de acceso abierto*, distribución gratuita y sin costos de publicación para los autores. El objetivo de la Revista es difundir los trabajos de investigación científica y tecnológica del área de las Ciencias Veterinarias, e informaciones afines, realizadas en el marco del respeto al bienestar animal. Las áreas de las Ciencias Veterinarias son: Ciencias Básicas Veterinarias, Medicina Veterinaria, Sanidad Animal, Epidemiología y Salud Pública Veterinaria, Nutrición, Producción y Reproducción Animal, Biología Pesquera y Acuicultura, Administración, Economía y Comercio, Legislación y Deontología Veterinaria, Bienestar Animal, Ecología, Medio Ambiente y Biotecnología.
