Compàs d’amalgama és una revista d’Edicions de la Universitat de Barcelona que s'adreça a un públic acadèmic i especialitzat. Tots els articles que publica són originals i no s’hi accepten treballs o ressenyes que hagin estat publicades en una altra publicació. La revista s’interessa per la contemporaneïtat i pretén participar en els debats culturals del moment tant en el camp divulgatiu com en l’àmbit més acadèmic. Amb aquest objectiu, cada número s’articula a través d’un espai divulgatiu obert a les novetats i a la reflexió més immediata, i un altre espai, que pren la forma de dossier monogràfic, orientat cap a la recerca i els seus resultats.
