Ciencia y Educación es una revista es una revista académica de periodicidad semestral no marcada; publica dos números al año, uno por cada semestre, cuya aparición se realiza dentro del semestre correspondiente. Editada por el Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), promueve la libre discusión de las ideas sobre la contribución de la Ciencia a la Educación, y viceversa, desde una perspectiva internacional, multidisciplinaria, interdisciplinaria y transdisciplinaria, en vinculación con todos los niveles y modalidades educativos. Ciencia y Educación es una revista dirigida a quienes, desde la Academia, la práctica educativa, o instituciones regulatorias, valoran y promueven una educación innovadora comprometida con los mejores intereses de nuestros pueblos y la calidad de vida de la ciudadanía. Por tanto, publica contribuciones conceptuales y empíricas que contribuyan al avance de la Ciencia y la Educación. Su propósito es crear un espacio innovador y contextualizado a nuestras realidades, a través de los temas actuales en discusión, las investigaciones que se reportan y las experiencias que se comparten. Damos importancia al impacto posterior de lo que publicamos a lo interno de las instituciones educativas, incluyendo aquellas involucradas en la definición y ejecución de las políticas públicas.
