Ciência da Informação em Revista é um periódico científico do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação da Universidade Federal de Alagoas, que tem como finalidade promover a produção, a comunicação e a divulgação do conhecimento técnico-científico no domínio específico da Ciência da Informação e das inter-relações com áreas afins. Com fluxos contínuos de submissões e de publicações, aceita contribuições exclusivamente inéditas, exceto traduções e reformulações de comunicações realizadas em eventos técnico-científicos, lança os volumes no mês de janeiro e os encerra no mês de dezembro de cada ano. Este periódico está disponível no Portal de Periódico da CAPES e indexado, entre outros, nos seguintes diretórios e bases de dados: BRAPCI, CiteFactor, DOAJ, ERIHPLUS, LATINDEX, QUALIS, RCAAP e ULRICH'S.
