Focus and Scope The Journal of Physical Education and Sport has the following objectives: 1—publish scientific research that encourages the debate on phenomena concerning Physical Education, Sport, Leisure and Physical Activity; and 2—publish studies, research and scientific documents that support and contribute to the pedagogical/professional intervention in the area of Physical Education, Sport, Leisure, Health and Physical Activity. Section Policies Original Article: The Original Article is constituted as an unprecedented investigation based on data (data collection either with humans, animals or other sources), with rigor in the selection of data and using scientific theoretical-methodological principles. The Original Article contains the fundamental phases of scientific research: the problem and objectives, the design of the methods and the analysis of the data, the results, and discussion and the conclusion. It is, then, a dissertation text that seeks to present to the scientific community the results of an unpublished study on a certain area of knowledge. Review Article: The Review Article consists of a critical and reflective analysis of material already prepared (published), consisting mainly of original articles. A Review Article should be methodologically delineated by the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, even if it is not a systematic review for clinical studies.
