Aims, scope and focus
Il Bollettino di Storia Naturale Regionale (BORNH), precedentemente Bollettino della Società dei Naturalisti in Napoli, è una rivista peer-reviewed ad accesso libero pubblicata dalla Società dei Naturalisti in Napoli. La rivista promuove ricerche di alta qualità nel campo delle scienze ambientali, naturali e della terra, con particolare attenzione agli studi condotti su scala locale e regionale. Il BORNH mira a sottolineare l'importanza scientifica della ricerca territoriale, promuovendo la conoscenza della biodiversità, dell'evoluzione degli ecosistemi e delle pratiche di conservazione. Concentrandosi sui contesti regionali, la rivista contribuisce al progresso delle politiche di conservazione basate su dati scientifici e alla gestione sostenibile dell'ambiente. La rivista pubblica articoli di ricerca originali, recensioni, commenti, checklist ragionate e annotate e documenti tecnici che trattano le innovazioni metodologiche e le loro applicazioni pratiche. Le aree di interesse includono, ma non sono limitate a: zoologia, botanica, geologia, mineralogia, paleontologia, ecologia, sistematica e filogenetica, etologia, biologia dello sviluppo, biologia della conservazione, parassitologia, geomorfologia, chimica e museologia naturalistica. Sono benvenuti anche contributi di storia e filosofia delle scienze naturali.
