Foco e Escopo O Boletim Goiano de Geografia é um periódico do Instituto de Estudos Sócio-Ambientais da Universidade Federal de Goiás (IESA/UFG) que adota a modalidade de publicação em fluxo contínuo. Seu objetivo é difundir conhecimento sobre a geografia e áreas afins por meio de artigos originais e ensaios teóricos resultantes de pesquisas de reconhecido mérito técnico-acadêmico. Declaração de Acesso Aberto Este periódico oferece acesso livre ao seu conteúdo, seguindo o princípio de que disponibilizar gratuitamente o conhecimento científico ao público proporciona maior democratização mundial do conhecimento. Os autores não pagam nenhum valor de Article Processing Charge (APC) para o processamento dos artigos ou para sua publicação. O Boletim Goiano de Geografia está licenciado com uma Licença Creative Commons Atribuição- 4.0 Internacional. Política de Revisão por Pares Os artigos originais em conformidade com as Diretrizes para Autores são avaliados em sistema duplo-cego por dois membros do Conselho Científico e/ou pareceristas ad hoc no prazo médio de 120 dias. Antes do inicio da avaliação pelos membros do Conselho Científico é realizada triagem editorial inicial para avaliação do enquadramento da submissão as normas e diretrizes do BGG. A Folha para Parecer do Artigo deve ser usada para avaliação dos manuscritos. O Conselho Editorial enviará para o autor o parecer e, se necessário, o artigo com os comentários realizados pelos pareceristas. Em caso de um parecer favorável e outro contra, o texto será enviado para um terceiro avaliador. Havendo predominância de pareceres desfavoráveis, o artigo será devolvido ao autor. Sob predominância de pareceres favoráveis, o autor será comunicado sobre a decisão editorial. A decisão final sobre a aceitação ou rejeição do artigo é baseada, unicamente, na avaliação dos pares. Durante todo o processo de revisão por pares, os autores e os pareceristas podem entrar em contato com a equipe editorial da revista (boletimgoianogeo@yahoo.com.br e/ou boletimgoianogeo.iesa@ufg.br) para sanar quaisquer dúvidas. Pareceristas não podem ter conflitos de interesse para declarar. Os exemplos a seguir caracterizam conflito de interesse: colaboração regular com os possíveis autores em atividades de pesquisa (ex.: publicações), relação orientador/orientado(a), interesse comercial na publicação ou relações de parentesco.
