Biodiversity is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing understanding of the variety of life on Earth—its species, ecosystems, and the interconnections that sustain them. The journal seeks to foster informed stewardship of the planet’s biodiversity by publishing work that bridges science, policy, and practice. We welcome contributions that document species and ecosystems, explore ecological relationships, and address the challenges of conserving biodiversity in a changing world. In addition to original research papers and reviews, Biodiversity publishes perspectives, field experiences, management insights, news items, and book reviews. Regular feature sections highlight current issues and innovative approaches in conservation and sustainable resource management. Articles are written for a broad and interdisciplinary readership, including scientists, conservation practitioners, educators, policymakers, naturalists, and students. By providing a global forum for discussion and dissemination, Biodiversity promotes dialogue on ecosystem integrity and the impacts of climate change, land use, and other human activities on the living world. Peer Review Statement Biodiversity is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality, original contributions to the understanding and conservation of biodiversity. All submissions undergo initial evaluation by the Editorial Team and, if suitable, are subject to double-anonymized peer review by independent expert referees. Manuscripts are submitted and managed through the ScholarOne Manuscripts system.
