Arte y Políticas de Identidad es una revista de investigación que aborda diversas áreas temáticas relacionadas con el arte contemporáneo, los estudios visuales, los estudios de género y las políticas culturales de identidad. Desde sus inicios, se ha comprometido con una política de buenas prácticas en igualdad de género y Estudios LGBTIQ+. La revista acoge investigaciones sobre arte, estudios de género y estudios culturales, con un enfoque en metodologías feministas y poscoloniales en la cultura visual y el arte digital; explora los contextos sociales que influyen en la representación artística y promueve el conocimiento de excelencia. Presenta artículos originales de investigación y revisión teórica, tanto en los fundamentos del arte como en perspectivas metodológicas científicas aplicadas a la producción artística. Acepta textos en castellano, inglés y portugués, y cuenta con una sección dedicada a entrevistas, intervenciones artísticas y reseñas de libros o exposiciones. La revista posee carácter semestral (a partir de 2024, enero y julio) y los artículos publicados se editan en dos versiones: edición impresa (ISSN: 1889-979X [volúmenes de 1 al 20]), comercializada y distribuida por el Servicio de publicaciones de la Universidad de Murcia (España); y edición electrónica (ISSN: 1989-8452) en la web: https://revistas.um.es/reapi Esta revista surge en el seno del grupo de investigación Arte y Políticas de Identidad, vinculado al Departamento de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Murcia (España). Su propósito es reunir a investigadores/as, artistas y críticos/as y ofrecerles un espacio donde publicar sus trabajos recientes en el ámbito de interés de la revista.
