ARS MEDICA, Revista de Ciencias Médicas, es una publicación académica cuatrimestral, arbitrada por pares y editada por la Escuela de Medicina de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Su misión es promover el conocimiento y la práctica en las diversas áreas de la medicina, destacando sus implicancias en la sociedad actual. Para ello, la revista prioriza la publicación de investigación original que demuestre un potencial impacto en la práctica clínica o que contribuya al entendimiento de los mecanismos biológicos de las enfermedades. Nuestro enfoque abarca cinco pilares interconectados: Medicina Clínica y Traslacional: Priorizamos investigaciones originales de todas las especialidades que, basadas en los mecanismos biológicos de la enfermedad, demuestren un claro potencial de impacto en la práctica clínica o propongan nuevas vías para el diagnóstico y tratamiento. Salud Pública y Planetaria: Fomentamos estudios sobre epidemiología, políticas sanitarias y los determinantes sociales y ambientales que configuran la salud de las poblaciones en un mundo en transformación. Innovación y Tecnología en Salud: Acogemos trabajos de vanguardia en áreas como la medicina digital, la informática clínica y la inteligencia artificial aplicada, que estén redefiniendo el futuro de la atención médica. Educación en Ciencias de la Salud: Publicamos investigaciones sobre la formación de profesionales de la salud, innovación curricular y desarrollo de nuevas metodologías de enseñanza. Humanidades Médicas y Bioética: Mantenemos un espacio para la reflexión crítica sobre los aspectos éticos y humanos de la medicina. (ver historia de la revista)
