Areté es la revista de filosofía editada por el Departamento de Humanidades de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) y cuenta con dos números anuales. Areté recibe contribuciones provenientes de las distintas ramas de la filosofía, pero también acoge textos de otras ciencias o disciplinas (artes, humanidades y ciencias) que aborden temas de relevancia filosófica. En ella se publican artículos de investigación, originales e inéditos, escritos en español y de autores que participan de modo significativo en la discusión contemporánea en todos los campos de la reflexión filosófica. También comprende una sección permanente de reseñas de libros y, de manera ocasional, publica documentos (conferencias y traducciones de textos relevantes) sobre importantes debates filosóficos, así como entrevistas a filósofos(as) de renombre internacional. A solicitud de la comunidad científica se publican números especiales monográficos que no interrumpen la periodicidad de la publicación.
