Aims, scope and focus
La rivista open access ArcHistoR ospita articoli scientifici a livello internazionale, basati su ricerche e interpretazioni critiche originali di teoria, storia e storiografia dell’architettura e di analisi degli aspetti teorici, critici e progettuali del restauro, senza limitazioni di luogo o di tempo. Particolare attenzione è rivolta alla contestualizzazione artistica e culturale di ogni trattazione specialistica in relazione alle questioni più generali riguardanti la storia, la comprensione e il restauro dell’architettura. ArcHistoR nasce all’interno del Laboratorio CROSS. Storia dell’Architettura e Restauro, in origine prima presso il Dipartimento Patrimonio Architettura Urbanistica (PAU), oggi presso il Dipartimento Architettura e Design (dAeD) dell’Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria. La sua attività si rivolge alle architetture, all’ambiente costruito e al territorio nella più ampia accezione interdisciplinare, dall’età antica alla contemporanea, con particolare interesse all’area del Mediterraneo. ArcHistoR pubblica articoli in lingua italiana, francese, inglese, spagnola e tedesca.
