As nanomaterials are proving each day more capable of offering solutions to an increasingly wide range of different questions, we will give particular emphasis on the exploitation of nanosized objects and nanostructures addressing particular needs and/or devoted to resolution of specific problems. Thus, works that synthesize information suggesting or showing practical applications will be preferred. The areas of application we would like to focus on, including a list of representative but non-exhaustive topics for each area, are given below. Environment Eco-friendly nanomaterials Green synthesis Pollutant removal Water remediation Nanomaterials for photocatalysis Food Food safety Food processing Food packaging Bio packaging Food analysis Energy Light harvesting Photovoltaics Energy generation Energy conversion Biomass conversion Energy storage Hydrogen storage Electrocatalysis Sensing Plasmonic sensors SERS sensors Sensing materials Nanobiosensing Microfluidic sensors Photonics and Electronics Nanolasers Plasmonics SERS Quantum optics Nanofabrication techniques Medicine and Biology Theranostic devices Drug delivery Cell targeting Nanopharmacology Nanomedical devices Antibacterial nanoparticles Antibacterial surfaces Magnetic and plasmonic devices for hyperthermal therapies Nanomaterials for photodynamic therapy Nanotoxicology Nanosafety Nanoparticle hazard identification Nano-bio interactions Nanomaterial exposure and effects Predictive toxicology In vitro and in vivo nanotoxicity Nanomaterials and Potential Applications Design and synthesis of nanostructures Nanocomposites Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) Synthesis and/or preparation of nano-objects and nanomaterials Nanoporous materials Characterization of mesoscopic properties Any application of new nanomaterials
