Después de más de sesenta años de existencia, el Anuario Colombiano de Historia Social y de la Cultura se ha constituido en un espacio fundamental para historiadores e historiadoras, científicos y científicas sociales, docentes, estudiantes de posgrado y especialistas, tanto nacionales como extranjeros, interesados e interesadas en la producción y difusión de conocimiento histórico. Su objetivo principal es divulgar investigaciones sobre la historia de Colombia, sin embargo, acepta también trabajos sobre América Latina y el mundo, así como análisis de carácter historiográfico o teórico. La revista recibe únicamente artículos originales e inéditos y reseñas de libros, por lo cual no se aceptan traducciones, entrevistas, ponencias o partes de obras ya publicadas en otros medios. Estas contribuciones deben estar escritas en español, inglés o portugués.
