A Antropologia Portuguesa convida a publicar a melhor investigação teórica e empírica na área multidisciplinar da Antropologia, incluindo as subáreas da Antropologia Biológica e da Antropologia Social e Cultural, entre outras. Publica uma grande diversidade de trabalhos originais, incluindo artigos de investigação inéditos, pequenos ensaios, entrevistas, artigos de revisão e recensões em português, inglês e espanhol. Todas as submissões serão sujeitas a um rigoroso processo de seleção e revisão por parte do Conselho Editorial e de múltiplos revisores anónimos. A Antropologia Portuguesa é uma das mais antigas revistas de Antropologia em Portugal, tendo sido publicada pela primeira vez em 1914 como Contribuições para o Estudo da Antropologia Portuguesa, e como Antropologia Portuguesa a partir de 1983. A revista procura conciliar objetivos e abordagens antropológicas tradicionais com novas explorações colaborativas e interdisciplinares no seio das ciências humanas. Está indexada nas bases de dados WoS (Web of Science), Scopus, DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences), LATINDEX, HLAS Online, REDIB, and Sherpa/Romeo. Processo de Revisão por Pares Todos os manuscritos aceites pelo Conselho Editorial serão objeto de um sistema de revisão por pares duplamente anónima, envolvendo dois revisores externos. Quando necessário, será auscultado um terceiro revisor. Em face dos pareceres recebidos, o Conselho Editorial poderá determinar a publicação do manuscrito sujeito a revisões ou, mesmo, declinar a sua publicação. Periodicidade A revista Antropologia Portuguesa é publicada anualmente.
