هدف این نشریه انتشار آخرین یافته های علمی و پژوهشی دانشگاه ها و مراکز آموزشی و پژوهشی و همچنین دستاوردهای متخصصان صنعتی و معدنی به منظور شناخت، تبیین و توسعه روشهای تحلیلی و عددی در مهندسی معدن و مهندسیهای مرتبط با حوزههای زیر است: اکتشاف استخراج مکانیک سنگ ژئومکانیک نفت فراوری مواد معدنی سدسازی تونل سازی محیطزیست فناوریهای معدن کاری لذا مقالاتی که شامل موارد زیر در حل مسائل مهندسیهای فوق باشد مورد توجه قرار میگیرد: ارائه روشهای تجربی ـ تحلیلی روشهای نوین تحلیلی شبیهسازی بهینه سازی ریاضی توسعه روشهای عددی مدلهای ترکیبی تحلیلی ـ عددی و کاربرد آنها از دیگر عناوین مورد نظر میتوان به مواردی مثل: تحلیلهای برگشتی روشهای چند مقیاسی مدلهای ریاضی روش اجزای محدود، روش تفاضل محدود روش المان مرزی، روش المان گسسته روشهای آماری و روشهای زمین آماری روشهای هوشمند (الگوریتم ژنتیک، شبکههای عصبی و...) و ترکیبی از آنها اشاره نمود.
