Due to the dynamic infection risk from animals, food and the environment, reports pertaining to these reservoirs may also be of interest to Epidemiology & Infection, provided they are relevant to the epidemiology of infection diseases in people.Epidemiology & Infection is the journal with by far the longest history in the field, dating back to the first publication of its predecessor, The Journal of Hygiene, in 1901. Over more than 120 years, Epidemiology & Infection has evolved its scope to match developments in the epidemiology of infectious diseases, as well as the main approaches for their prevention and control.Publications are made available online on the journal’s website as soon as possible, with an average of 15 to 20 publications per month. Epidemiology & Infection has a global scope, publishing papers from all over the world, including low, middle and high-income settings.The vision of Epidemiology & Infection is to be a generalist, high-quality scientific journal for infectious disease epidemiologists and their colleagues in related fields, providing a platform for accessing and publishing research of international epidemiological and public health relevance.
