A Ambivalências aceita, para eventual publicação, artigos científicos, comunicações de pesquisa, ensaios, traduções, resenhas e entrevistas inéditos, na área da antropologia ou em suas interfaces com outras ciências e áreas do conhecimento, nas línguas portuguesa, espanhola, ou inglesa. Traduções (sempre para o português) devem ser autorizadas pelo autor e/ou editor originais. A revista publica ainda dossiês, que devem ser propostos com antecedência mínima de seis meses (ver Critérios para organização de dossiê). O envio dos artigos pode ser feito em fluxo contínuo, ou a partir de chamadas para publicação, e os trabalhos serão eventualmente publicados na edição semestral subsequente à finalização dos trâmites de avaliação, revisão e aceite.
