Aiken. Revista de Ciencias Sociales y de la Salud es una iniciativa del Grupo de Investigación "Estudios Antropológicos" del Centro de Estudios Sociales y de la Salud (CESyS), de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud y Trabajo Social (FCSyTS), Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (UNMdP). Es una publicación semestral (junio y diciembre de cada año) cuya misión consiste en ofrecer un espacio plural, abierto a la innovación y a la cobertura de vacíos teóricos y empíricos. En ese sentido, ha sido pensada como una revista que estimule exploraciones de temas novedosos que giren en torno a problemáticas sociosanitarias, abordadas desde diferentes enfoques disciplinares y metodológicos. Aiken publica contribuciones originales e inéditas en forma de artículo, reseñas de libros recientes (2 años) y traducciones. Las convocatorias son libres y se alternan con números temáticos que surgen de propuestas de investigadores externos a la revista y miembros del Equipo Editorial que cumplen la función de editores invitados. La revista es de acceso abierto y no se realiza ningún tipo de cargo por publicación.
