The other major focus of the journal is on clinical nutrition, epidemiology and public health, and nutrition education. Review articles will focus on progress made during the past few years rather than research developments over a broad, historical timeframe. In addition to review articles, AN will publish Perspectives, Letters to the Editor, and supplements. Supplement proposals must be approved by the editor prior to submission. AN also publishes Nutrient Information briefs which outline the dietary requirements, food sources, deficiencies, and other important information about nutrients. All submitted material with scientific content will undergo peer review by the Editors or their designees before acceptance for publication.*Note that reviews of data on publicly available databases, including NHANES, are considered original research and are out of scope for this journal.
