La revista Acta Odontológica Colombiana, es una publicación electrónica seriada, semestral (enero-junio, julio-diciembre) y arbitrada, editada desde la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Su formato es electrónico y disponible para descargar en PDF. La revista está dirigida a académicos, investigadores, profesionales y profesionales. La revista Acta Odontológica Colombiana publica únicamente artículos originales e inéditos, que no hayan sido publicados previamente, ni se encuentren en proceso de revisión en otra revista. La revista Acta Odontológica Colombiana tiene como objetivo publicar resultados o avances de investigación que evidencien el desarrollo de los conocimientos académicos, técnicos, científicos y médicos para la odontología, la salud bucal y la salud en general, aspectos relacionados con la práctica clínica, salud pública , bioética, educación, ciencias básicas, biotecnología, materiales dentales y de laboratorio. Asimismo, tiene como propósito consolidar el intercambio de saberes, experiencias y estudios a nivel nacional e internacional. La revista acoge artículos probados de investigaciones cualitativas o cuantitativas, artículos de revisión de la literatura, informes de casos, ensayos, cartas al editor y bibliografías bibliográficas. Los documentos pueden estar escritos en español o inglés. La revista Acta Odontológica Colombiana cuenta con un Comité editorial, un Comité científico internacional y un proceso claro y riguroso para el arbitraje de todos los documentos propuestos para su posible publicación en ella. La revista Acta Odontológica Colombiana en último año recibió 30 artículos. El 100% de los artículos fueron arbitrados a doble par ciego. La tasa de rechazo fue de 40%.
