The aim of the journal "Universities and Leadership" is to publish peer-reviewed research papers that present original results of research in the fields of educational leadership, higher education management and university strategic development. This periodical serves as a platform for publishing studies, analytical, scientific-and-methodological materials (monograph reviews, synopses of international educational events, analysis of success cases in university management, and interviews with academic community leaders who contribute to higher education system modernization). Types of publications: Editor’s Note, original research papers, overviews and analytical articles, case studies, documents and materials, reviews, reports on scientific events, interviews. Journal objectives: development of national discourse on educational leadership and integration of Ukrainian research in the field of higher education into the global research area; promoting and advancing professional communication of scholars, administrators and educational practitioners, ensuring official recognition, high-quality expertise and dissemination of research results in the domains of university management theory and practice; supporting the transformation of the university environment via conceptualizing new leadership models, strategies for HEIs’ sustainable development and innovative approaches towards human and social capital management in the academic sphere. Journal themes and focus: theory and methodology of university leadership; leadership and university institutional development; strategic management and governance in higher education; higher education system reforms: global and national contexts; development of university leadership potential; academic freedom and university autonomy; Ukraine’s higher education in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA); internationalization of higher education and international academic partnership; integration of higher education, research and innovations; economics and financial management of higher education; social responsibility and third university mission; university innovation ecosystems and student entrepreneurship; digital transformation and digital leadership in higher education; artificial intelligence in university and research management; quality of higher education; academic integrity and leadership ethics; inclusion, gender equality and multiculturalism in higher education; university as a hub for regional and sustainable d
