Jurnal Pijar MIPA is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original and high-quality research articles focusing on the development, innovation, and critical issues in science education and natural sciences. The journal aims to foster academic exchange on contemporary pedagogical practices, curriculum design, learning models, educational technology, and scientific research that support the advancement of science teaching and learning across all levels of education. The scopes of the journal include but are not limited to the following areas: a. Science Education and Integrated Natural SciencesCovers research on teaching strategies, curriculum innovations, assessment methods, and the integration of STEM, socio-scientific issues, and local wisdom in science learning. Topics may also include the development of instructional media, inquiry-based learning, scientific literacy, and teacher professional development in the context of integrated science. b. Chemistry Education and Chemical SciencesIncludes studies on chemistry teaching and learning processes, curriculum and instruction, conceptual understanding, and laboratory-based learning. Also welcomes research in chemical sciences that supports educational practice, such as green chemistry, analytical chemistry, or material innovations relevant to teaching and community-based science. c. Biology Education and Biological SciencesFocuses on learning models, teaching resources, and curriculum development in biology education, including biotechnology education, environmental education, and the use of local biodiversity in learning. Biological research that has direct or potential application to education is also within scope, such as studies in ecology, genetics, or conservation science. d. Physics Education and Physical SciencesPublishes work on physics education approaches, problem-solving skills development, conceptual understanding, and physics-based teaching technology. Physical science research such as instrumentation, theoretical modeling, or applied physics is welcomed as long as it contributes to educational development or pedagogical innovation.
