AI-based tools such as large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and chatbots (ChatGPT) do not meet ICMJE or COPE authorship requirements, given the need for accountability. AI-based tools must be disclosed and clearly explained in all Journal of Drugs in Dermatology publications.
