JCI Insight is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to biomedical research, ranging from preclinical to clinical studies. JCI Insight is a Gold Open Access journal that has a 2025 Impact Factor of 6.8. JCI Insight is self-published by the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), a nonprofit honor organization of physician-scientists established in 1908. JCI Insight serves to fulfill the ASCI’s objective to advance medical science through the publication of clinically relevant research reports.
