RISE publishes theoretical articles and original research findings in the field of education from a sociological perspective, using diverse methodological approaches grounded in scientific theory and evidence. The journal welcomes disciplinary and interdisciplinary contributions that examine educational processes, institutions and policies, and that advance social transformation and the overcoming of social inequalities through education. The journal is particularly interested in research addressing the intersections between education and broader social structures, including inequality, power relations, stratification, migration, gender, policy and institutional change. Submissions are expected to demonstrate clear theoretical and analytical contributions and to engage with international debates, with relevance beyond the local context.
