Effectiveness and choice of indicator species Soil biodiversity and interactions with above-ground biodiversity Ecological interactions at local levels Ecological and evolutionary factors influencing diversity and local, regional and global scales Sustainable livelihoods and training on the ground Integrating science and policy Contributions will fall into five main areas: Standard research papers Major/Feature/Invited reviews Mini-Reviews Techniques & Methodologies Forum, Policy and Comment Contributions are welcomed from all sectors of the ecological and conservation community with a particular interest in arthropods. The following types of studies will not normally be published at Insect Conservation and Diversity, and are better suited to submission at other specialised journals: Descriptions of new species Straightforward accounts of natural history or descriptive summaries of species distributions or community composition across a region that don't robustly address broader relevant problems related to insect conservation and diversity Articles of anecdotal nature or studies based on incidental observations Papers that primarily describe the development of a genetic or genomic resource for a species (including genome assembly), without robustly addressing a broader question or problem related to insect conservation and diversity Species distribution or climate modelling studies that focus purely on software-based predictions for specific regions or taxonomic groups, especially if the study does not robu
