L'Enseignement mathématique was founded in 1899 by Henri Fehr (Geneva) and Charles-Ange Laisant (Paris). It is primarily dedicated to publishing research articles across various mathematical fields. Particular emphasis is placed on contributions that are at least partially accessible to a broad community of mathematicians. It is also the official organ of the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction.
