Aims and Scope The Yearbook of Balkan and Baltic Studies (YBBS) is a peer-reviewed annual English language journal for the study of humanities (incl. etnology, folklore, religiosity, and migration studies)., global relations and influences of the past events and modern developments in the area. YBBS welcomes contributions in the fields of critical and comparative analyses of cultural history. Although geographically-oriented towards the Balkan and Balticum in wider sense, to the contact and influencial relations, the journals aims is oriented to an international readership and contributors. YBBS is designed to respond to the important changes that have affected the study area but particular predominance is given to the analyses of contemporary problems, and innovative research. YBBS is an open-access, academic journal which publishes double-blind peer-reviewed research articles, research reports, review articles, book reviews, and commentaries. The journal also accepts proposals for special issues on topical themes concerning the region or its individual states in European or global cultural flows and frames. No charges are applied either for submissing, reviewing or processing articles for publication. This journal continues the scholarly discussion and research established in the frame of the projects and publications established in 2000s „Balkan And Baltic States In United Europe: History, Religion, And Culture”.
