Visnyk of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Series "Sociological studies of contemporary society: methodology, theory, methods" was founded by department of Sociology of the Kharkiv National University in 1983, during the period of rapid development of sociology at the University of Kharkiv and in Ukraine in general.For all forty years of its existence, the founder of the publication has been V. Series Sociological studies of contemporary society: methodology, theory, methods publishes articles that contain the results of current sociological research, the latest theoretical research by Ukrainian and foreign sociologists, understanding the issues of education and youth, analysis of the state of Ukrainian society, as well as sociological journalism and reports on scientific life in Ukrainian sociology.
