In response to current changes in education, research, and digital development, the Editorial Board of the UNESCO Chair Journal “Lifelong Professional Education in the XXI Century” has clarified the journal’s aim, thematic profile, and scope in order to ensure clarity, academic consistency, and alignment with modern international editorial practice. Aim of the Journal The aim of the journal is to support academic dialogue and to publish original theoretical, empirical, analytical, and review studies in the fields of teacher education, adult education, lifelong professional education, and professional training in the pedagogical context. The journal is focused on publishing research results that are important for the development of educational science, educational policy, professional training, and professional development of teachers, university lecturers, researchers, and future specialists in the field of education. Thematic Profile and Scope of the Journal The journal specialises in academic publications devoted to teacher education, lifelong professional education, and adult education. Its main focus is on professional training, instructional design, professional development, digital transformation in education, the use of ICT, and artificial intelligence specifically in educational and pedagogical contexts. The journal considers studies related to: the training of future teachers, lecturers, researchers, and other specialists in the pedagogical context; the professional development of teachers, university lecturers, academic staff, trainers, adult educators, and education managers; the development of pedagogical competences in higher education, postgraduate education, adult education, and lifelong learning; digital technologies, media education, distance learning, blended learning, and online learning; the use of artificial intelligence in teacher education, in the professional work of teachers, in higher education, and in educational practice in schools; educational policy, quality assurance, international practice, and institutional change in teacher education and adult education. The journal accepts studies related to higher education, general secondary education, postgraduate education, adult education, professional development, and other forms of learning provided that they have a clear pedagogical, educational, or professional development context.
