Universitas Médica is a scientific, open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to disseminating research findings in the field of health sciences. Its aim is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of health care through the publication of high-quality articles for professionals, educators, and researchers in medicine, nursing, and related disciplines, at both national and international levels. The journal publishes articles in medicine and nursing, addressing not only the broader areas of these health disciplines but also the different specialties within them. Its scope encompasses clinical, epidemiological, educational, and public health topics. The journal follows a continuous publication model and serves as a scientific dissemination platform co-edited by Hospital Universitario San Ignacio and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. It welcomes original contributions, including original research articles, systematic reviews, and integrative reviews, that contribute to the advancement and consolidation of knowledge across the diverse fields of health sciences.
