Editorial Policy, Evaluation Process, and Publication Guidelines Trasvases entre la literatura y el cine is an academic journal aimed at the research community. Its thematic focus revolves around the relationships between literature and cinema, and it is dedicated to exploring the multiple connections between both artistic disciplines, especially cinematic adaptations or transpositions of literary texts, the influence of cinema on novels, their thematic connections, and theoretical and methodological reflection on how to approach their comparative study, without establishing hierarchies between the two arts or employing the equivocal and sterile concept of "fidelity" to conduct the analysis. Given that these connections with cinema affect literature from all periods and languages, and that dialogue can be established in both directions (from literature to cinema, and also from cinema to literature), we aspire to create with this journal a multidisciplinary meeting point (aimed primarily at philologists, but also, among others, at experts in Film, Art History, and Translation and Interpretation) and an international forum for researchers interested in this field of study to present their work. Peer Review Process The journal's Editorial Board reserves the right to conduct an initial review of articles to ensure they meet the thematic and formal criteria. If they do not meet these requirements, the reasons for rejection will be communicated, and the article may be rejected or resubmitted if the proposal is adjusted in accordance with the Editorial Board's prior report. Articles that do meet these standards will be subject to double-blind peer review. The OJS electronic platform on which the journal is hosted will be the means through which articles will be submitted: http://www.revistas.uma.es/index.php/trasvases/information/authors The articles will then be sent to two reviewers, who will have 30 days to issue their reports, which will include the following options: a) Acceptance. b) Acceptance subject to modifications. c) Rejection. In all cases, a reason for the opinion will be included and sent to the author. A third review will be requested if unanimity is not achieved, and the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers will be maintained throughout the process.
