Thalassia Salentina è la rivista della Stazione di Biologia Marina di Porto Cesareo, fondata insieme con essa nel 1966.Le finalità di questo periodico sono state principalmente quelle di essere l'organo divulgativo delle attività della stazione e di pubblicare i risultati delle ricerche portate avanti in tutti i settori delle science del mare.Attualmente Thalassia Salentina si inquadra nel panorama editoriale scientifico nazionale, pubblicando lavori relativi all'area geografica del Salento, ma non solo, e coprendo ambiti biologici ed ecologici sia di ambiente terrestre che acquatico, marino e d'acqua dolce.
